Yutaki (Yu Waterfall)

Yu Waterfall (you’ll see it written as both Yutaki and Yudaki) is nestled right between Senjogahara and Lake Yu (yunoko).  With an elevation change of about 100m, it is 1410m at the base and where the waterfall begins on Lake Yu at 1490m.

If you’re lucky and the little restaurant is open, you can rest and refill at the base before the 250 or steps rising along the falls.

If you’re absolutely exhausted, you can walk over to the road and take the bus up to Lake Yu and Yumoto or back down through Senjogahara to JR Nikko and Tobu Nikko train stations.
