At the beginning of August, fields of Lotus are growing in many places in Nikko Japan. Many farmers grow Lotus not for flower shops, but for chefs to use the root to slice up and make Tempura. This field is located in the central part of Nikko near Shimotsuke Osawa station on the JR Nikko line.
